This course is a great introduction to counting score. I think students will benefit from taking this course before trying Endgame for Nerds, which I felt was way over my level. I would’ve benefited from having had this course prior to that one. Great content and examples!
I always thought that counting points was for high level players.
Excellent course. Gave me some good practical tools to start counting and know what to look for.
Nice course, gives a nice toolkit to start trying improving on this aspect of the game and stop making wrong decisions in crucial situations, as a beginner I also found the opening part really useful!!
Extremely helpful for me as sdk player. Will definitely come back to this! Would be great if practice sections would be added to the skill tree!
they course certainly had some useful parts, but I feel like my overall ability to estimate score didn't actually change that much.
nice course
Great content, we need some others exercices about counting please !
I found this really helpful...I still struggle with what to count when areas are undecided, and this directly addresses this. I especially found the problems where we marked the countable territory in enclosures useful. And all the different methods provide a toolbox of things to try in my upcoming games. Many thanks!
Good info but a bit too difficult for my level (~10-12kyu)
good course
Great introduction with practical tools to use quickly. Some insights I wouldn’t ever have found alone.
Very interesting topic. But unfortunately, the course isn't as informative as others. For those interested in learning more, I recommend the book Positional Judgement by Cho Chikun.
Stan is a great teacher, he explained everything in a very clear and precise way
Extremly rare to find content in other sources. Very helpful methods shown in this course. Well presented with great examples as well. E.g. I did not know the presented meijin decider from 2022 before this course.
While estimation is not an exact approach it is reliable enough to determine who is in the lead and make decisions on that information. This course provides the methodology to make that determination and provide the insight as to attack or simply secure existing status and thereby provide cause to make counting a desirable option at critical times or at leisure.
Really good and useful course. Never thought that I'm that bad at estimation
I never thought about counting point. A really helpful course 😁
Good course on a topic that can be tedious but necessary to improve our decisions

The course on position evaluation was very important, engaging, and concise with no unnecessary filler. As constructive feedback, I felt that almost half the course focused on counting points, which doesn't require much time. I would have preferred more emphasis on evaluating positions, influence, weaknesses, and similar concepts so we can assess any position in the future.
