Сами правила можно было бы рассказать всего в одном видео-уроке. Однако у этого курса другая цель. Он призван помочь вам сыграть первые партии даже если вы осваиваете игру в одиночку без учителя. В курсе вы не только узнаете правила, но и освоите несколько базовых навыков игры, познакомитесь с некоторыми игровыми традициями. Всё это позволит вам получать больше удовольствия от самой игры и возможно даже поможет выиграть ваши первые несколько партий.
После изучения правил Го, мы рекомендуем попробовать сыграть несколько партий (на доске 9×9) и затем приступить к следующему курсу — Основы игры Го на доске 13×13. Также загляните в руководство для начинающих игроков.

Great start for a new player!
Very clear example of how to play go. I started by playing cosumi bot and was frustrated when I couldn't beat it. Watching these videos clarified the capture before no self capture rule, and other tips that eventually allowed me to win my first game

I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the introductory course. It was clear, well-structured, and easy to follow. Everything was explained in a way that made it simple to understand, and I feel like I’ve already learned a lot from it. Thank you for making the material so engaging and precise—it really kept me motivated!
The course did a good job of teaching and/or reinforcing the fundamentals of Go. I especially liked the structured building towards a full game. One of my pettiest peeves with the game is how difficult I find it to count the score the Japanese way. After this course I feel a lot more confident that I understand how to do it.
The lesson was very thorough and entertaining at the same time. I checked out this course to see if its something id recommend to beginners, and i was pleasantly surprised! It's effective at conveying the rules of the game, providing essential reading practice that is appropriately ranked and most importantly its not redundant! I will definitely be recommending this.

The user interface is fantastic and so is the video production. Vadim is an enthusiastic teacher that combines clarity, conciseness and humour. This is by far the best resource in English to teach yourself Go and I only wish the whole site could be more affordable to a wider range of potential students.
