Kifu

Kifu are traditionally presented as grid diagrams representing the Go board, with each move numbered to indicate the sequence of play, while stones placed before the game begins, such as handicap stones, are typically unnumbered. 

The practice of recording games dates back centuries, with some of the earliest known kifu compiled during the Song dynasty in China around 1100 AD.
