Go Diagnostics: Test Your Skills (β)

A Go test is the quickest way to measure your problem-solving strength. Pick a test, solve a series of puzzles, and get an estimated rank in kyu/dan — together with a breakdown that shows exactly which skills hold you back.

How It Works

• Each test is a series of Go problems covering several topics — life and death, tesuji, endgame and more.
• At the end you get an estimated puzzle rank with a confidence range, plus per-skill results highlighting your strongest and weakest areas.
• Each problem in a test costs one energy (your balance is shown in the Stats panel above).
• Keep in mind: your estimated puzzle rank may differ from your actual playing rank — solving and playing are related but separate skills.

Turn Results into Training

Got your breakdown? Train the weak spots in the Skill Tree, or sharpen your reading with classic tsumego collections. Retake the test after a few weeks of practice to see how far you’ve come.
