Magari is a versatile Go term that refers to a turn or bend in the shape of stones. 

A strategically important turn is sometimes called senryo-magari (千両曲がり), literally “million dollar turn,” highlighting its exceptional value. Historically, a ryo was a valuable currency unit, equivalent to the amount of rice needed to feed one person for a year — underscoring the significance of such a move.
