카잔에서 태어난 Alexander는 여섯 살에 바둑을 시작했습니다. 실력을 더 끌어올리기 위해 1997년 한국으로 건너가 연구생으로 공부했습니다.
Alexander는 유럽 바둑 역사상 가장 많은 타이틀을 거머쥔 기사 가운데 한 명입니다. 유럽 바둑 선수권을 7회 제패했고, 유럽 응씨배와 European Masters 등 유럽의 주요 대회에서도 우승했습니다.
한때는 일선에서 뛰는 선수였지만, 지금은 주로 바둑을 가르치고 알리는 일에 힘을 쏟고 있습니다.

Alexey Nechaev는 물리학자에서 바둑 고수로 변신한 인물로, 23년 넘게 바둑을 예술이자 과학으로 연구해 왔습니다. “Concepts of Go: The Path from Beginner to Master”와 여러 편의 글을 쓴 저자이며, 자신의 바둑 교실을 열어 바둑을 단순한 게임이 아니라 시대를 넘어 이어져 온 하나의 길로 가르치고 있습니다.

한국기원 연구생 출신으로 아마 6단을 취득했고, 이후 명지대학교에서 영어와 바둑학을 복수전공해 졸업했습니다. 국제 대회에도 여러 차례 출전했으며, 2022년 London Go Open에서는 5위에 올랐습니다. 대한민국 고양시의 Let’s Go Baduk Academy를 이끌며 어린이 지도와 체계적인 커리큘럼 개발을 전문으로 합니다. Chanhyuk은 영어 교육 콘텐츠도 만들고, 수준 높은 바둑 개념을 세계 독자에게 더 쉽게 전하기 위한 책도 쓰고 있습니다.
Chris Sagner가 바둑을 시작한 계기는 2006년에 읽은 만화 “고스트 바둑왕”이었습니다. 경쟁 카드 게임(MTG, Books-A-Million 매장의 유희왕 리그)을 하던 배경이 있어서 바둑으로 넘어오는 일은 어렵지 않았습니다. 그때부터 지금까지 하루에 몇 시간씩 자신의 기력과 지도 실력을 함께 갈고닦고 있습니다.

Vadim Efimenko is a co-founder of Go Magic and the creative force behind its fun, festive, and modern feel. A Go enthusiast since 2006, he focuses more on research and exploration than tournaments—though he holds a 6 dan rank on Fox and has competed as a 4 dan amateur in China.
A professional linguist, Vadim speaks English, Russian, Chinese, and some French. He studied Go in China with pro Yan An 7p and spent five years living and working there. Beyond Go, he enjoys traveling, discovering new cultures, and playing riichi mahjong. At Go Magic, he leads content creation efforts.
