カザンに生まれた Alexander は、6歳で囲碁を始めました。腕を磨くため、1997年には韓国へ渡り、院生として学びます。
ヨーロッパ囲碁の歴史のなかでも、もっとも多くのタイトルを手にした棋士のひとりです。ヨーロッパ囲碁選手権を7度制覇し、ヨーロッパ応氏杯や European Masters といった主要な大会でも優勝しています。
かつては第一線で戦う競技者でしたが、いまは指導と普及に力を注いでいます。

Alexey Nechaev は物理学者から囲碁の達人へと転じた人物で、23年以上にわたり、囲碁を芸術としても科学としても研究してきました。著書『Concepts of Go: The Path from Beginner to Master（囲碁のコンセプト：初心者から達人への道）』のほか記事も数多く、自身の囲碁教室も開いています。そこで教えられる囲碁は、単なるゲームではなく、時代を超えて受け継がれてきた一つの道です。
「ただのゲームに、何千年も費やす人はいませんよ」と、彼は笑います。

韓国棋院の院生を経て六段を取得し、その後、明知大学で囲碁学と英語を専攻して卒業しました。国際大会にも数多く出場し、2022年の London Go Open では5位に入っています。韓国の高陽市にある Let’s Go Baduk Academy を率いる立場として、子どもへの指導と、体系立てたカリキュラムづくりを専門にしています。Chanhyuk は英語の教材コンテンツも制作し、高度な囲碁の考え方を世界中の読者に届けるための本も執筆しています。
Chris Sagner が囲碁を始めたのは、2006年に漫画『ヒカルの碁』を読んだのがきっかけでした。それまで競技カードゲーム（MTG や Books-A-Million の遊戯王リーグ）に打ち込んでいたので、囲碁への移行はごく自然だったと言います。以来、毎日数時間を、自分の対局と指導の腕を磨くことに充てています。

Marianna はポーランドの囲碁プレイヤーで、物心ついたころからこのゲームを楽しんできました。国内でも海外でも、数多くの大会に出場しています。大学では中国語を学んでいるところです。囲碁のほかに夢中なのが、ビオアクティブテラリウムづくりです。

Vadim Efimenko is a co-founder of Go Magic and the creative force behind its fun, festive, and modern feel. A Go enthusiast since 2006, he focuses more on research and exploration than tournaments—though he holds a 6 dan rank on Fox and has competed as a 4 dan amateur in China.
A professional linguist, Vadim speaks English, Russian, Chinese, and some French. He studied Go in China with pro Yan An 7p and spent five years living and working there. Beyond Go, he enjoys traveling, discovering new cultures, and playing riichi mahjong. At Go Magic, he leads content creation efforts.

Cho Yeonwoo 2p is a Korean professional Go player with a mission: to make the game as fun as it is profound. Since becoming a pro at just 16, she’s worn many hats—commentator on Baduk TV, referee, Women’s Baduk League director, and above all, a teacher who bridges cultures. Fluent in English after 4.5 years in Singapore, she runs the popular Go Pro Yeonwoo YouTube channel, where she demystifies the game with a mix of strategic insight and infectious enthusiasm.
