These ranks are only meant to be used within Go Magic, there can’t be a direct correlation between Go Magic ranks and kyu and dan strength on a given server or in a given country. However all the Go problems in the courses or in the Skill Tree are labeled with these ranks and the table above is used to estimate each problem’s difficulty level. The kyu and dan levels that will be used as measurement criteria, are based on the ones from OGS and KGS.
Experience Points
Earn XP by completing courses and solving problems. The more difficult the Go problem, the higher its rank, the more XP you can earn.
Coins
Coins are awarded for solving problems on your first attempt and completing courses. Save up your coins for something special from the Go Magic store.
Please note: Solving problems simpler than your account level leads to reduced XP and Coin rewards.
Go Magic Leaders and Their Rewards
On the leaders page you will find the top ranking students of our platform: for one day, week and month. At the end of each one of these periods the most hard-working students get rewarded accordingly.
For a day: 1–5 coins. For a week: 5–30 coins. For a month: 5–100 coins.
The coins you earn also affect the ranking. Every coin adds 100 extra points to the overall number of XP.
