In this course you will learn the rules of Go in all of their simplicity and splendor.
The rules of Go could in fact be presented in a single video lesson. This course however has a different purpose. It is meant to make sure you can play your first games even without a teacher standing over your shoulder. Not only will you learn Go rules but you will also acquire some basic Go skills. All of this will help you have more fun playing Go and maybe even get your first wins.
After learning the rules of Go, we recommend trying to play a few games (on a 9×9 board) and then proceed to the next course — The Fundamentals of Go on 13×13. Also take a look at this beginner’s guide.

I liked this a lot, it teaches Go in a very understandable and meaningful way and gives enough basic knowledge to not be cut off at a cliffhanger. The free course, in that way, is a full package of the go fundamentals.

The lessons are simple and basic enough to understand for someone who has never learned the game before. The quizzes are a bit difficult to understand at times with what they are talking about but at the same time it could just be the fact that I'm learning so I'll only knock a half point off... 4.5 awesome!

I like how after the explanation there are practice questions. On top of that, the explanations are very entertaining, making the learning process more enjoyable. But my problem with the questions is that if I get a move wrong I don't get a refutation for my move. I found myself confused on why my answer was incorrect more than once.

Thanks for this nice course for beginners, it' very clear and enjoyable. The entertainment is well dosed and adapted to newcomers. It may lack of exercises, but it is fun ! I would like to see the same system made for kids, with more entertainment features, and that can be used by go teachers for local activities.
The Videos are very helpful and it is fun watching them. There could be some more exercises. But I like it a lot.
I am learning GO with the app and the experience is being great! I'm not the kind of person that acctually plays boardgames, chess and etc.. But, this curious game got me and the app is being my main source of knowledge. So much fun, and the best part is that losing is being simultaneously: Sad and Wholesome.
