Good for foundations, very interesting too!

The course was amazing for what it cost. You can get it for free by using in game currency which I highly recommend. The other courses on this platform are crazy expensive but this one is very good quality and is incredible to have as a resource. Sadly I won't be able to get the sequel to this course because of the cost, but this course alone makes go magic the most useful platform for learning go

very instructive and really helps you get a basic grasp of some core concepts

I enjoyed the mix of videos and puzzles to test my understanding. It's a very good introduction coming from 9x9 and I am looking forward to a shapes or life and death course next

Great to expand to the larger board. 9x9 is a bit too cramped for me because I don't like fighting so much. 13x13 starts to introduce more interesting whole-board problems. I struggle still with ko threats and endgame moves.

As a 2k2 chess player this course is too easy to understand.

So far (13 kyu) this is the course that has taught me the most. I'm not ready for 19x19 but after completing this 13x13 course, I see a path.

Fantastic course! I have learnt so much. It covers a lot of ground in a way that allows you to better understand the fundamentals of the game while the quizzes help you retain what you’ve learnt. Can’t recommend it enough.

Essential foundation

Great course with lots of helpful information. This also serves as a great review for more competent players who need to build up their fundamentals.

Great information! My only gripe is with the XP haha. In a course where you're (in a sense) supposed to make mistakes, a single misstep resetting your XP bonus is qute harsh and a bit deflating. I was ultimately doing my best to ignore the mechanic and just focus on learning Go but it's tough not to play the meta-game! 😛

It took me years to find the great Jeremy Silman, and Yasser Sierawan, the chess teachers that finally made chess make sense to me. It took me a youtube video from gomagic to find the right go teachers. I love the way this course, and the others I've taken so far, are presented. They're giving me a base of understanding that I'll be able to build upon as I continue to learn.

Very comprehensive. The course covered a lot of material and I found it very useful. I saw my games improve as I applied the lessons from this course.

Covered a wide array of stuff and taught a lot of tactical concepts. Started seeing the results in game immediately. The shape chapter was extremely abstract though.
