Everyone looks at endgame with caution — it’s the last part of the game that might seem unessential. Many of the moves in the endgame look similar and very small. In this course we will learn to see the difference between them and how to calculate their value.
A few simple techniques — and you will stop treading water in the endgame and giving away your hard-won points left and right. Your endgame will not be the same anymore.
Suitable for: 14–3k. This course explains the basics of playing endgame but it can be also interesting for stronger SDK players.

Reviews
We publish all reviews; the coins for a review never depend on its rating. How reviews work
- To write a review, a learner must be enrolled in the course and have completed at least one lesson or topic. Earlier reviews needed enrolment only.
- We publish every review at once, whatever its rating, and remove only spam, insults and personal data.
- One review per course; its author can edit or delete it at any time.
- A learner gets 20 coins (the site's points) once per course, for a review with at least 30 characters of text, whatever the rating.
- The average is the plain mean of all ratings. Reviews in your language come first, then those other learners marked helpful (marks on newer reviews count for more), then those with text, newest first.
- Next to newer reviews we show the author's estimated rank on the site and how much of the course they had completed when they last wrote or edited the review.
- The course's teachers and our team may reply to a review publicly.
- To report a review, write to [email protected].
Love it! But I think one needs to be a proper nerd to enjoy it as much as I did ;)
HelpfulLots of great information
HelpfulExcellent as usual. Thanks for the course!
HelpfulAmazing course! I bought lifetime access and was really worth it!
HelpfulNice one!
HelpfulThis course took me a very long time to go through. I'm not very strong with endgames, so it definitely helped! There were some very difficult puzzles that I was stuck on for a long time. Really enjoyed it! A 2nd part of this with Vadim would be very welcome!
HelpfulFrankly speaking, the course was quite difficult for me on one hand but I've learned a lot of end games tricks on the other. I would recommend the course. And will rewatch it myself to settle the information in my head.
HelpfulThe endgame course was excellent, fun, and full of practical techniques. The monkey joke was a highlight 😂. As constructive feedback, there were too many "What would you play?" questions before the concepts were explained. Important topics like half-point values, sente, gote, reverse sente, and double sente deserved more depth, as they're essential for understanding and evaluating endgames.
HelpfulI seriously learned a lot of moves I didn't know about, and I didn't even think there was this kind of moves at the end of a game. I would totally recommend it.
HelpfulFollow value section is too confusing. We assume that white don't play there and then later the concept of 50 50 make it unnecessary complicated. Why we don't assume white to not capture as well? or why white don't play to protect some points at first... And the point count when white moves somewhere else why it doesn't count? if white choose to play outside the move should >= the value of it? :((
