Sammy Shatner

Born in Thailand, raised in Tunisia and educated in Canada, Sammy is a thoroughbred world citizen who has spent the better part of his life roaming the globe in search of those pesky little truths that so taunt us in the comfort of our own couches. He first discovered Go in his late teens on a trip to Japan, but was (apparently) a bit too hyperactive to take the time to appreciate the magnitude of its beauty. A couple of decades and a slew of zen lessons later, he is now what you would call a proper Go Fanatic: daily tsumegos and strategy studying; games into the wee hours of the morning; sacrificial offerings to the Go gods etc etc...When not playing or studying Go, Sammy splits his time between teaching guitar, writing, designing playlists, and cuddling his Go-coloured kitty, Foucha.
