In this course you will learn the rules of Go in all of their simplicity and splendor.
The rules of Go could in fact be presented in a single video lesson. This course however has a different purpose. It is meant to make sure you can play your first games even without a teacher standing over your shoulder. Not only will you learn Go rules but you will also acquire some basic Go skills. All of this will help you have more fun playing Go and maybe even get your first wins.
After learning the rules of Go, we recommend trying to play a few games (on a 9×9 board) and then proceed to the next course — The Fundamentals of Go on 13×13. Also take a look at this beginner’s guide.

Theory is better explained than any of other books I've found on the market, practice sessions are very well planned with increasing difficulty so that you feel real improvement lesson after lesson. And I've loved Vadim explaining topics in front of a real Goban!
Well was a great free course, I guess. Found the KO lesson the most helpful one as I didn't understand it very well when I learnt the rules (just a week ago though). The course did make the concepts very simple to understand.
