In this course you will learn the rules of Go in all of their simplicity and splendor.
The rules of Go could in fact be presented in a single video lesson. This course however has a different purpose. It is meant to make sure you can play your first games even without a teacher standing over your shoulder. Not only will you learn Go rules but you will also acquire some basic Go skills. All of this will help you have more fun playing Go and maybe even get your first wins.
After learning the rules of Go, we recommend trying to play a few games (on a 9×9 board) and then proceed to the next course — The Fundamentals of Go on 13×13. Also take a look at this beginner’s guide.

Great intro to Go! I appreciated how it covered not just the rules, but also history, terminology, and core strategy in very digestible segments. The quizzes after each segment were also great for reinforcing concepts. Looking forward to starting the next series!
