In this course you will learn the rules of Go in all of their simplicity and splendor.
The rules of Go could in fact be presented in a single video lesson. This course however has a different purpose. It is meant to make sure you can play your first games even without a teacher standing over your shoulder. Not only will you learn Go rules but you will also acquire some basic Go skills. All of this will help you have more fun playing Go and maybe even get your first wins.
After learning the rules of Go, we recommend trying to play a few games (on a 9×9 board) and then proceed to the next course — The Fundamentals of Go on 13×13. Also take a look at this beginner’s guide.

Do this course even if you are already a beginner who knows the rules. Despite the simplicity of the rules of go, why are so many very intelligent beginners confused by very basic concepts? It's because the way ideas are taught matters. This course helped me clarify my understanding.
There were some exercises that truly left me vexed and I ended up asking about one of them. I received quite a comprehensive answer (Thank you, Anastasia) a couple hours later which I am grateful for. This game is one that has ragebaited me a lot (thank you, Atari Go bot) but all in all, especially for learning the ropes, it's a great course.

Really ennjoyable to watch and the inbetween quizzes are a real plus. I am still unsure about what to do next besides playing games but i guess the adventure will unfold from now on.
